BERTRAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WNDU) – Two men and women are lifeless after a deadly crash on US-12 in Berrien County on Monday afternoon.
(Update 10:11 p.m.) According to the Michigan Condition Police, a preliminary investigation reveals that a driver of a liquid-propane hauler was traveling eastbound on US-12 when the driver crossed the median and struck a gasoline hauler head-on all-around 3:35 p.m. Some liquid propane did leak from the truck but was quickly contained.
It is not known at this time what produced the liquid-propane truck cross the median in the roadway. The street stays closed as crews carry on to cleanse.
The driver of the liquid-propane hauler, identified as Christopher Deneen, 35, of Niles, was pronounced lifeless at the scene. The driver of the gasoline hauler, recognized as Dustin Marshall, 46, of Osceola, was transported to Memorial Healthcare facility in South Bend, in which he afterwards died from his injuries.
